  • We-Ko-Pa Golf Course Reader raves about Scottsdale's We-Ko-Pa Golf Club

Chase King: "We-Ko-Pa is beautiful and can be enjoyed by players of all skill levels. Forget about the price. This is the best course in Arizona, even better than Troon - trust me, I've played both. Troon is nice, but We-Ko-Pa is better."

  • Whirlwind Golf Club Whirlwind Golf Club a raging success in Arizona, reader says

"Whirlwind Golf Club is just south of Phoenix, off the I-10 towards Tucson. Nestled in the Gila River Indian Reservation with the Siera Estrella Mountains as its backdrop, the course is a hidden gem," Joan Zumpolle writes. "Anybody visiting Phoenix should make the effort to play it."

  • We-Ko-Pa Golf Club Reader rates We-Ko-Pa as A-OK

"I'm 17 years old and a 3-handicap and I absolutely loved playing We-Ko-Pa Golf Club in Fountain Hills, AZ. I played it last year and I can still vividly remember the course like I recently played it. It is pretty much a desert course so be ready to maybe lose some balls to the desert. I did not think it was an extremely hard course, but some holes were challenging."

  • Gold Canyon Golf Resort - Dinosaur Mountain No. 15 Reader: Gold Canyon's Sidewinder and Dinosaur Mountain sparkle

Anyone who hasn't played the two Gold Canyon Golf Resort courses in Phoenix's East Valley ... since 1998 shouldn't be writing reviews about the property. • Trilogy Vistancia Trilogy golf course not as good as review stated, reader says

I played the Trilogy at Vistancia course over Labor Day weekend this year. Greens were in very poor condition with bare spots, hundreds of ball marks and replanted areas of sod. Contrast that with We-Ko-Pa which was pristine for the same price. There are homes on a lot of the holes which can be hit if you are having a bad day.

  • Camelback Golf Club Mark's Foursome Conquers Camelback Golf Club

Summer golf in Arizona separates the men from the boys. All my life I've heard stories about the Scottish and the extreme playing conditions that they take for granted. I used to think that they were the leather of our golf community until I teed it up with my usual threesome out at Camelback last week.

  • We-Ko-Pa Reader to enjoy Scottsdale golf trip

My wife and I own our own business and enjoy the luxury of several golfing vacations every year, thanks to some very good and trustworthy employees. We are in our early 50s. In order to afford to take that many golf trips, we are cost-conscious about where we stay and where we play. But golfing is our main reason to travel, so we are careful not to sacrifice the quality of courses we play.
