Front nine at Arizona's Legend at Arrowhead affronts golfer
The front nine at the Legend at Arrowhead in Glendale, Ariz., offers little challenge except for the chewed-up greens and the sucker pin placements, according to reader Chris Meier, but the back nine somewhat redeems this course.

"I'm 17 years old and a 3-handicap and I absolutely loved playing We-Ko-Pa Golf Club in Fountain Hills, AZ. I played it last year and I can still vividly remember the course like I recently played it. It is pretty much a desert course so be ready to maybe lose some balls to the desert. I did not think it was an extremely hard course, but some holes were challenging."

Anyone who hasn't played the two Gold Canyon Golf Resort courses in Phoenix's East Valley ... since 1998 shouldn't be writing reviews about the property. I live in British Columbia and think nothing of driving all the way to Phoenix and then Apache Junction to play what I believe to be two of the most interesting and challenging, as well as wonderfully manicured, golf courses in the state of Arizona.
