Kierland: Ironwood #9

Kierland Golf Club in Scottsdale is home to 27 holes of championship golf. The holes are divided into three nines, which are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Although the club is located in heart of the city, it has the ideal desert terrain for golf. There are more than 300 bunkers throughout the golf courses, covering the landscape almost entirely with sand. The Mesquite is the most difficult of the three nines, which can be mostly attributed to one hole in particular, the par-4 sixth. Don't underestimate this 468-yard hole. There is welcome respite on Kierland's Ironwood nine, which is a more player-friendly course. While the saddle-shaped fairways on the golf course are more player-friendly than on typical desert courses, there are still plenty of steep bunkers throughout.

This was supposed to be an interesting course. With unique holes at every turn. Turns out that's not the case at all. Very bland golf holes. except for number 9 and 18. Fairways nearly impossible to hit because they place artificial hills that roll everything back down towards the fairway. Just not the experience I was hoping. also the fact that it was in a fairly busy and loud neighborhood
