Wildcat senior Jenna Daniels finishes in second place

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The second ranked University of Arizona women's golf team won the Jones Intercable Dick McGuire Invitational by 16 strokes with a team score of 4-over-par 880. The tournament was held at the University of New Mexico Championship Course (Par-73, 6,069 yards).

Senior Jenna Daniels finished in second place shooting a three-day total of 3-under-par 216, while sophomore Cristina Baena finished even par 219 in seventh place. Junior Jill Gomric finished tied for 12th place with a score of 4-over-par 223, and freshman Julia Kraschinski tied for 18th place posting a 6-over-par 225. Junior Christina Monteiro jumped two more spots and tied for 29th place (9-over-par 228).

Texas Christians Angela Stanford won the individual race with a three-day total of 4-under-par 215.

Arizona's next outing will be from October 22-24 at the Stanford/Pepsi Invitational held in Palo Alto, Calif.
