PHOENIX - Unlike the typical meeting facility, where guests are
treated to large, impersonal meeting rooms with harsh florescent
lighting, guests of the Royal Palms Hotel and Casitas will immediately
know they are somewhere special.
Wall tapestries, antique furniture, huge stone fireplaces, views of tranquil gardens and natural lighting from the numerous Mediterranean-arched windows and doors give conference attendees the feeling they are the honored guests of a grand estate. All aspects of the hotels conference services and venues have been designed to provide a residential experience for meeting attendees rather than the traditional commercial ambiance.
In the world of meetings today, most small conferences often take a back seat to larger, concurrent meetings in expansive convention hotels and resorts. However, smaller hotels are seldom equipped to offer the full range of conference services and expertise necessary for a flawless gathering. Royal Palms specializes in small to medium-sized meetings.
The hotel features 9,083 square feet of indoor function space, and 11,370 square feet of outdoor function space, for a total of 20, 453 square feet of distinctive meeting and event venues. Striking architecture and landscaping, superb culinary service, and 116 elegantly designed guestrooms, suites, casitas and villas make this award-winning hotel the perfect choice for unforgettable meetings.
Originally built in 1929 as a summer retreat for Cunard Steamship executive and financier Delos Cooke, this Spanish-Mediterranean-style resort underwent a 12-month, multi-million dollar renovation, re-opening in summer of 1997. Located at the foot of Camelback Mountain on 8.9 acres filled with magenta bougainvillea, lush flower gardens and exotic plants, the Royal Palms Hotel and Casitas combines the graciousness and sophistication of a European estate with the intimacy and privacy of a secluded retreat.
Small executive groups will appreciate the intimate boardroom facilities and handsome library-like salons. This is a very special spot overseen by an exceptionally gracious staff. - Andrew Harpers Hideaway Report, May 1999
