The 9th hole at the Fred Enke Municipal Golf Course has all the things that will frustrate the average golfer. A par 4, 455 yard hole, the 9th boasts a bunker, a lake, a hill, and a multi-tiered green.
Whoa.
Enke professional Mike Henderson claims the best way to handle the hole is simple: just hit it straight.
Youve got the bunker on the left and the lake on the right, he said. The best way to handle it is to just hit the darn ball down the middle.
This hole is definitely not for anyone prone to slicing the ball.
This is a really rough hole for slicers, Henderson said. For a lake hole, the 9th at Enke is uncommonly long.
The best thing to do is drive about 150-200 yards and see if you can get up on the two shot, he said. Its the number one handicap hole here because of the combination of length and hazards.

Recently, proposed Municipal rates-hikes have left residents and tourists alike fleeing to Green Valley, about 20 minutes south of Tucson.
The Enke course proves that long, country-club style holes still exist in the world of public courses.
The Fred Enke Municipal Golf Course, named after the former University of Arizona football player, is located off the I-10s Kolls Road exit in Tucson, the gold tees at Enke are roughly 6,879 yards long.
