CHARITIES:
Proceeds from the Phoenix Open support more than 150 beneficiaries
each year which provide programs for Arizona youth, such as health
and social service agencies, athletic programs and other youth organizations.
A record $3 million was raised for charity last year. Major beneficiaries
include the Arizona Special Olympics, Valley of the Sun United Way,
Valley Boys and Girls Clubs, Junior Golf Association of Arizona,
Valley of the Sun YMCAs and the Make-A-Wish Foundation. To
date, the Phoenix Open has raised more than $16 million for charity.
TICKETS:
General admission is $20 per day. Children ages 17 & under are
free when accompanied by an adult. The Phoenix Open is never sold
out and tickets will be available at the tournament gate. Advance
tickets are available at all Valley Dillards Box Office locations,
US Post Office branches, Nevada Bobs, Vans Pro Shops,
Smiths and Smittys, JC Penneys and at The Thunderbird
office - 7226 N. 16th Street, Suite #100, Phoenix, Arizona 85020.
MICHELOB BIRDS NEST:
The Phoenix Opens popular 24,000-square-foot entertainment
tent is located at the main east side tournament entrance off Pima
Rd. It opens for lunch at 11:00 a.m. daily from Wednesday, January
27 through Sunday, January 31. Tournament spectators get in FREE
with that days Phoenix Open admission ticket. There is a $10
cover charge after 7:00 p.m. on a space available basis.
