DOBSON
RANCH GOLF
COURSE GREENER THAN EVER!
Cactus Golf Staff
December 08, 1998
Over-seeding took place this fall in an effort to improve
course conditions and create a more lush and greener golf
setting for players. The fruits of those labors are now
apparent, and the lush green grass is abundant throughout
the course.
With more than 90,000 rounds annually, Dobson Ranch Golf
Course perennially ranks among the most popular courses
in the state of Arizona. Operated by the City of Mesa Parks,
Recreation and Cultural Division, the course remains one
of the areas better golf bargains. Winter green fees
are now in effect, and will remain in place until April
1. Current rate for 18 holes walking is $22 per person;
additional fees (carts, etc.) may apply.
Plans are now underway to install a new computerized sprinkler
system at the course, the first such improvement in the
courses 24-year history. While the installation of
this system may affect play during the 1999 summer months,
the end result will be a more effective and environmentally
efficient turf maintenance system that will keep the grass
greener for years to come.
Additional rates and tee-times at Dobson Ranch Golf Course
may be obtained by calling 644-2291. The course is located
at 2155 S. Dobson Road, between Baseline and Guadalupe,
in Mesa.
