Find low-cost golf camaraderie at Shalimar C.C. in Tempe, Arizona(July 28, 2006) - Regarding your post "Great golf deals: Looking for Pebble Beach in Arizona": Try Shalimar Country Club, a nine-hole public oasis hidden in central Tempe. It has a USGA-sanctioned golf club for amateurs (men, women and juniors welcomed) aptly named the Shaligusta Golf Club, where bimonthly events are held along with camraderie, including the cross-country scramble, one-club tourney, cross-gender individual event, etc.
