I just got back from Phoenix and had a chance to play the Raven Golf Club at Verrado for $40 in green fees. It's a great desert course! Generous fairways, but don't take the golf course for granted because it will get you.
Playing away from well-placed fairway bunkers leads to desert shots. A great course for all levels of golfers. Play it if you get the chance.

The front nine at the Legend at Arrowhead in Glendale, Ariz., offers little challenge except for the chewed-up greens and the sucker pin placements, according to reader Chris Meier, but the back nine somewhat redeems this course.
