The front nine at the Legend at Arrowhead golf course in Glendale, Ariz., had little to offer in the way of challenge except for the chewed-up greens and the sucker pin placements (one actually caused a six-putt).
The back nine felt slightly more like what we expected to find at a mid-level course in Arizona. Greens seemed to fill out and the holes got slightly more interesting.
All in all not a terrible $52 spent. However, the the practice of closing the clubhouse early to would-be thirsty warriors is something I don't comprehend. (This also happend at the Biltmore with a much bitchier bartender. I don't get it.)

Played this course March 18 and was very displeased..was burnt out and lost a couple of balls that i hit down the center of the fairway..ended up hitting a slope which kicked it left and 75 yards down into the water..no grass to stop the ball from funneling into the water...burned out faieways and rough and green had poiana all in them...one of the worst courses i have played arizona..keep away !
