Coyote Lakes Golf Club in Surprise - Photo Gallery
SURPRISE, Ariz. - It doesn't take long into a round at Coyote Lakes Golf Club, to become certain that this place is a pure golf character.
This Arthur Jack Snyder design a little off the Scottsdale big resort palace track in Surprise is more than just a low greens fee option ($55 high rate high season, $27.50 twilight) in a land of huge money monsters. You don't play Coyote Lakes just because it's cheap. You play it for a staff that obviously loves golf and strangely seems to want you to love it too. You play it for its quirky, one of a kind holes.
From a stone wall guarding a green, to one of tiniest emergency par 3s ever (Snyder realized he only had 17 holes last minute and squeezed in one more to make 18) to the characters actually swinging clubs, you see it all at Coyote Lakes.
