Located in Rio Verde, Verde River Golf & Social Club (formerly known as Tegavah Golf Club and Vista Verde Golf Course) is the centerpiece of a quiet, residential community. The golf course winds through the Verde Valley, providing views of the surrounding Tonto National Forest and the Superstition Mountains. The architect of the course designed the layout to mimic the challenges of the world famous Pinehurst No. 2 course in North Carolina. Like Pinehurst, Verde River Golf & Social Club features challenging greens that fall off to the surrounding chipping areas. Generous landing areas and wide fairways provide some relief from the heavily bunkered greens.

Played 5 different courses on a trip from the east coast. This was the best of all of them. Fast greens, fair fairways, good test, great condition. Great all around experience. Only draw back was the club house is a trailer as the course was intended to be surrounded by homes but due to the housing slowdown the homes have not yet been built. One of the best courses around. For the $ it is the best deal.
