Opened in 1995 in Scottsdale, Legend Trail Golf Club is an upscale course and is playable for all abilities. Legend Trail is acclaimed architect Rees Jones' first Arizona design and is equally challenging and memorable, with stunning views of Pinnacle Peak and Sonoran Desert.
Holes called "Painted Desert,” "Good Medicine" and "Water Chant" also attempt to emphasize the spirit of the Sonoran desert surroundings as well.
The course itself flows through natural desert landscape as well as forests of Saguaro cacti and Palo Verde trees. Spacious, forgiving fairways and large, undulating greens help to make Legend Trail playable.
The championship, or "Long Trail," tees play a fair 6,845 yards, and the golf course features three more sets of tees.
Golf magazine rated Legend 88th in its "Top 100 Courses You can Play in the U.S.". Golf Digest rated it as the 15th best golf course in Arizona.
The McLean Golf Academy is located on the premises.
