Good practice round
The fairways were nice. Greens dry and very bumpy. Surrounding landscape and perimeter of lakes very barren and unkept. Great value for some practice. It would be nice to know the first 9 are all par 3s.
Challenging yet fun course
This course is more challenging than it looks! Water and sand definitely come into play. The greens had more sand than I like . The layout of the holes provided good variety. I liked that you can also easily walk the course if you choose to. 18 different holes provided great value for your money.
Lakes Review
Good value for your dollar. Lots of Par 3s. Staff were great. Not much of a pro shop. Facilities were filthy. They need to be cleaned more often than every 2 days.
Exceptional Customer Service
I will be coming back for sure. Great value for the price.
Nice first round.
The course was a good starter course for us to get the cobwebs out. The staff was friendly and very welcoming. Fairways were in good shape. Greens were a little rough but with some time they will get better.
Nice track
Fairways and greens in great shape . Greens rolled nicely and true. Pace was a little slow. Management is working on the rough areas, so should improve. Friendly, helpful staff. Would play again when visiting.
Amazing hidden gem, with tons of potential
Played on 2/3/2024 and what an awesome little course. Challenging layout, with water features at most holes. On site staff was awesome (Jim Reynolds & Don stand out), fairways are coming together and greens are immaculate. Course amenities are in progress (19th hole planned for later this spring) but what an awesome little course -- no wait for tee times, pace of play was excellent and some of the water holes were just cool to see come together. I look forward to playing again and seeing the course grow.
Pace of Play
Pass of play would be much better if two somes were put together. Especially where multiple two somes are grouped together.
Cart path only requirement. We fully understand the requirement for this to get the course in good shape. However , when a person picks up their cart , it would be helpful if they're told they can drive on the dead grass , just not on the green fairways , and around the greens. Once we asked that question crossing to the 2nd nine we asked the starter/cart person. That definitely made playing a little more efficient use of time.
Best value you’ll find on a short notice tee time
For a beginner like myself (6mo experience), you’ll likely have a rough game. Every hole provided a challenge, whether it be water (very common) or a tricky bunker along the fairway or right in front of the pin. My highlight of the game was hitting my only bogey on 15. Most holes are par 3s but vary widely in distance. Some instances where you pull out a driver on a par 4.
The best part of the course was certainly the staff. Jim will likely be helping you out with getting your cart set up and filling you in with basics about the course. Really cool dude. He even offered to wipe my clubs when my round was over. Don was the course marshal during my round and he was very polite albeit very direct about course rules and cart etiquette. I took Don’s direct demeanor as a reflection of the pride that he and the course staff take in this course. I guess it recently opened after being closed for a very long time; they’re working really hard to get the course looking well.
Fairways look amazing, very easy to see your ball regardless of color. Greens roll well and are consistent. Roughs could look better, but all the more motivation to stay out of it. I hate playing bunkers, but they were really nice here.
Biggest / only harsh downside is no amenities. Course is run out of a mobile trailer and provides a very limited pro shop. No restaurant on site, but there was a sausage vendor at the turn (yummy). No drinking water on the course. Many tee boxes didn’t have trash bins. Overall experience: one of the best value plays out there. The staff were the best and would be the main reason I’d return to the course, although I think I’ll wait until my game has improved a little bit.
We really enjoy this course. The groundskeepers have done an amazing job over last year improving all aspects of the course. Staff very friendly and proud of the course. A good mix of holes that allows me to use most of my bag. The GolfNow hotdeal is consistently a great value
Fun course
For old guys like me this is a fun course. I shot 65 and got 4 birdies--the most ever for me!
Great course so happy it’s back! Good manager
Jim Reynolds is the man! He was a great manager on the morning of our round! The course is in great shape and I am happy it is back, hope the prices stay the same cause it’s the best deal in the valley this winter.
Shout out Jim from one Mass man to another! Go pirates
I didn’t try it for a while because of reviews, but it was a good course. Par 3s vary in distance so you use multiple irons. Fairways were nice and bunkers had good sand. There’s a range and putting green too. Definitely will play again
