Glen Lakes Municipal Golf Course not only provides a good game of golf but also excellent practice facilities and a learning center that offers free lessons. The course features several lengthy par 3s and par 4s. It is beginner friendly but it also offers plenty of challenge to the experienced golfer. Water comes into play on nine holes and the rolling terrain creates tricky uneven lies. There are also strategically placed bunkers protecting the greens to watch out for. Glen Lakes Municipal Golf Course boasts outstanding practice facilities including a lighted driving range that stays open late and in the summer there are misting systems to keep golfers cool.

WHERE IS THE LOVE ???
We played (walked) 9 holes.. It would be a great little walking course if if was kept up. There just doesn't seem to be any maintenance done there. (My yard looks better than the greens and fairways). Course was difficult on the shorter shots because it was so inconsistent. Greens have bare numerous bare spots and no apparent housekeeping. (Twigs and leave son some). Fairways and approaches were not consistent (some mowed, some not so much, with a lot of muddy spots even though they weren't 'green', as in watered. Most ball cleaners were dry. Really confusing in middle holes, crossing back in front of other holes several times. Will not return.
Enjoyed playing coarse
2nd time playing some par 4s are challenging the atmosphere is great and the value can't be beat. Like they say There's always time to get in 9
OK for the money
Fun course with good layout. Some sand and water to be aware of. Greens slow with a fair amount of ball chatter.
h2o
Please water the course. The gentleman working the pro shop is very cordial. The pace was great on the course. Money and time must be going into the driving range. (The range is fantastic!!)
Glen Lakes
Outstanding environment for learning and playing golf. Excellent bargain for lessons too.
glen lakes golf
Nice course for walking and quick play. Greens were real bad. Had some challenging par 3s.
Nice Hidden Gem
This course is a very nice local golf course that is great for walking with friendly people everywhere. I will not hesitate to return here.
Quick way to get 9 in
This is a fairly easy course and also a nice walk. The surrounding neighborhood is not that great but the course is safe and in good shape for a nine holer. Paired up with a funny guy who is a regular and that makes it interesting. This has a good mix of par threes fours and one five (as I recall)
Great little course
I was not expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. 6 Par 4s put this a notch above most exec courses. Decently maintained and a good layout. Will not win any beauty awards, but a nice course. Spent 20 mins talking to the owner, a super nice guy. Will definitely go back.
NICE!!!!!
Greens are fuzzy from over seeding, needs more water on the fairways>
good value for dollar
Pace of play was good. Cost was very good. The course was in reasonable shape.
The course has tons of potential
I played 2 days after Overseeding so obviously the course was a little rough but you can definitely tell the new owner is really trying to get three course back to what it use to be can't wait to play there again
TEEMING WITH MOSQUITOES, GRASS NOT MOWED
The person behind the counter was actually sitting on a sofa near the back and talking on his cell phone.
The grass was very long and filled with mosquitoes.
I had eight sucking bugs on my legs on the first fairway!
I walked in after five holes. I could not concentrate for slapping my legs and killing the mosquitoes.
I told the fellow in the shop why I had to quit and he said "Oh, really?'
Greens are perfect!
Finally.. after a very long summer, some decent greens to putt on. They are mowed tight, and summer seeding turned out great! The rough is US Open conditions. !!! You will lose balls if you don't hit them straight. I love this lay out! If you play from the tips, I hope you brought all your clubs. You'll need em, and that's all you can ask for from an exec.
Not a TPC...but a great value for the money
9-holes with six Par-4! Excellent course tor practice long or short game. Easy to walk and play in 1.5 hours or less.
My favorite executive course
I've played here quite a few times, and I love this layout. It's a great little practice course. It isn't a pristine facility, but it isn't in terrible shape, either. In fact, I love the fact that there are a lot of risk/reward holes on this course. If you are accurate with your driver, you may just find yourself with an eagle. I prefer to lay up. And it serves me well.
My one beef with this course is that the driving range uses mats instead of grass. Otherwise, I foresee myself playing this course a lot in the future.
friendly staff, for exec. course more demanding than you'd expect.
nice short exec course. fairways a little rough, but playable. when i was there, restaurant was not open.
This course is a fun layout.
This executive course was fun to play. The greens were a little on the slow side.
The mosquitos are wicked bad. The pro shop actually has repellent wipes for you. and they worked. But this guy is right, if you don't use repellent, you'll have dozens on them sucking on you. The course should bleach the lake. But with repellent, they will leave you alone, and you won't notice.
