As Rolex College Golfer Of The Month
Women's golf freshman recieves award after winning Oregon
State-Sun River Fall Preview.

PRINCETON, N.J. -Oct. 5, 1999- Arizona State University freshman
Miriam Nagl (Berlin, Germany) has been named the Rolex College Golfer
of the Month for September, after winning the individual titles
at one of the strongest events on the Rolex Collegiate Tour last
month.
Nagl won the Oregon State-SunRiver Fall Preview, one of the
strongest women's events on the fall portion of the Rolex Collegiate
Tour. She fired a five-under par 211 (70-72-69) while leading
Arizona State to a fourth place finish. Nagl also tied for tenth
place at the Jones Intercable-Dick McGuire Invitational. She shot
a two-over par 221 (73-74-74) while leading the Sun Devils to
a tie for sixth place.
Ranked No. 14 in the preseason edition of the MasterCard Collegiate
Golf Rankings, Nagl is expected to move up in the next edition of
the rankings, which will be released tomorrow, October 6, 1999.
Nagl finished the month with a stroke average of 72.00 (six rounds).
The Rolex College Golfer of the Month award is voted on by members
of the College Golf Foundation's Golfer of the Month Committee.
The award is based primarily on results from Rolex Collegiate
Tour events, plus conference championships, NCAA Regionals and
the NCAA Championships. Each winner will receive a certificate
from the College Golf Foundation in recognition of this honor.
The Rolex College Golfer of the Month award is administered
by the College Golf Foundation, a non-profit organization, founded
with the corporate support of Rolex Watch U.S.A. and also sustained
by an alliance with MasterCard International, dedicated to the
growth and promotion of men's and women's collegiate golf.
